The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard

Just like the first movie, The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard fails to impress any critics. Fans on the other hand are equally happy with this one too. This sequel to the first movie, The Hitman’s Bodyguard featuring Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson is another R-rated madness. Only this time the dialogue is even more vulgar.

But looking at the movie, it doesn’t feel like it was made to impress any movie critics. The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard is not your average comedy action, it’s comedy action on steroids. Despite all its weaknesses, it is a very entertaining movie.

The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard: What Critics Say?

To be honest, critics hate this movie. Some say it’s too loud within its genre. Others pinpoint several plot holes while many think that the brilliant star cast is totally wasted. Most of the critics have outrightly called it a bad movie.

Well, I think all these points are valid if you watch this movie with a critical eye. If you’re looking for some real R-rated comedy action then you won’t notice any of the above-mentioned flaws.

Why Fans Still Like It?

Most of the audience won’t notice the points that critics are trying to highlight. Many are going to love the over-the-top action flavored with some dirty dialogue. Others will enjoy the chemistry among the lead characters.

I really believe that the fun & entertainment element in this movie is always gonna attract fans. Plus fans don’t really care what critics think about this movie.

Final Verdict

For fans, it’s not a waste of time at all. The movie is really entertaining despite many issues with the storyline and all. The fascinating duo of a hitman and a bodyguard in itself is enough to keep audiences interested in this movie series. Fans want entertainment and this movie delivers what fans want.
